Вирус-червь, распространяющийся через интернет в виде вложений в зараженные электронные письма. Червь представляет собой PE EXE-файл, размером около 23KB. Червь упакован Petite, размер распакованного файла около 39KB.

Известны еще несколько вариантов данного червя, упакованные другими паковщиками (ASPack), однако распространение получил только вариант упакованный Petite.

Инсталляция

Копирует себя в каталог Windows, под именем "winlogon.exe" и регистрирует данный файл в ключе автозапуска системного реестра:

[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
 "ICQ Net" = "%windir%\winlogon.exe -stealth"

Также червь создает уникальный идентификатор своего присутствия в памяти "[SkyNet.cz]SystemsMutex".

Червь создает множество своих копий во всех подкаталогах, содержащих в своем названии слово "Shar" на всех доступных дисках от C: до Z:, с именами выбираемыми из списка:

Размножение

Червь сканирует файлы с расширениями eml, txt, php, pl, htm, html, vbs, rtf, uin, asp, wab, doc, adb, tbb, dbx, sht, oft, msg, shtm, cgi, dhtm и ищет в них адреса электронной почты и рассылает свои копии по найденным адресам.

Для отправки писем червь использует собственную SMTP-библиотеку. Червь пытается осуществить прямое подключение к серверу получателя зараженного письма. Если попытка окончилась неудачей, червь пытается отправить письмо через один из серверов, определенных в коде червя:
