In the newest edition of the Lab Matters webcast, founder and chief executive officer of Kaspersky Lab Eugene Kaspersky discusses the evolution of malware attacks -- from nuisance e-mail worms to well-organized, for-profit cyber-criminals taking control of millions of computers.
In this Q&A with Ryan Naraine, Kaspersky talks about the different eras in malicious computer activity, from passive viruses to Internet worms to botnets and, now, a new era of cyber-warfare.

Threats My PC needs some adjusting especially with the volume as I do not have any sound, so sad to say I could not view your video until another time. Being a novice I find myself in a state of confusions quite a bit? I had someone who knows computers put your Kaspersky protection on my PC, but now I have this threat alert but it doesn't have the name of the application of the threat. I tried to click on the (Recommended) button, but it didn't do anything? Then there was another button to Delete the Archive file? I did not click on it as I don't know what will happen I do not want to mess my PC up. Then I was taken to help button which just got me more confused. Now my question is this: Do you have an easier way to get rid of these threats when they show up?? I already clicked on the "Fix Now" button also but that didn't do anything either but bring me to more options?? So I'm now in a state of confusion, still with the delemia I have of not know just what to do? Can you please help me as my computer friend lives to far away to bring my PC there or him here presently. Can you help me? Or is there a number someone can walk me threw this?? Thank you. |
