Cross-Site ScriptingCross-Site Scripting vulnerabilities allow a third party to manipulate the content or behaviour of a web application in a user's browser, without compromising the underlying system. Different Cross-Site Scripting related vulnerabilities are also classified under this category, including "script insertion" and "cross-site request forgery". Cross-Site Scripting vulnerabilities are often used against specific users of a website to steal their credentials or to conduct spoofing attacks. |
| Description |
A vulnerability has been reported in Proman Xpress, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks. Input passed via the "cl_comments" parameter to client_details.php when creating a comment for a project is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed. The vulnerability is reported in version 5.0.1. Other versions may also be affected. |
